Get ready to dig through your wallets and coin jars because the Coins for College Drive (formerly called the Penny Drive) is getting underway! The Spring Grove Area
Scholarship Fund (SGASF) is thrilled to announce that from Tuesday, March 18,
through Tuesday, April 1, students and staff in Grades K-8 will collect funds (coins or bills) to support scholarships for graduating seniors at Spring Grove Area High School.
The Annual Coins for College Drive is a beloved tradition that not only brings the
community and schools together but also creates a pathway for the seniors to achieve their dreams. This year, the goal is to raise funds that will directly contribute to scholarships to help deserving seniors pursue their future goals as they embark in post-secondary education including two- and four-year colleges, trade schools, approved training programs, etc.

How to Participate
Bringing in your loose change is simple! Throughout the Drive (Tuesday, March 18
through Tuesday, April 1), keep an eye out for the designated collection containers
located in the K-8 buildings where students and staff can donate spare change and be a part of something special.
Special Incentive for the FIRST FIVE DAYS ONLY
This year, we are excited to be partnering with Subway of Spring Grove in a “FIRST
FIVE DAYS” incentive program. Subway of Spring Grove is willing to match all funds
collected in the first five days up to $500. What a generous way to jump start the giving this year!
Which School Will Win the TROPHY This Year?
As a special incentive, a traveling trophy is awarded each year to the school that raises the most amount of money per student during the Coins for College Drive. In addition to being able to display the trophy for one year, the school receives a scholarship in its name that will be awarded the following year to a senior who attended that school. Last year, Paradise Elementary was the successful school and has been proudly displaying the winning trophy in its showcase near the gymnasium all year.
